Where to Stay at Kakum National Park

There are no hotels in Kakum yet but this may change in the near future. Visitors may stay at the camp sites and the tree house inside the park. These camps offer an authentic and intimate forest experience for overnight visitors but you must be self-sufficient and book in advance

Sites with ablution facilities are available for camping at the park and regenerated forest. Visitors can camp and do other activities like day and night hiking, bird watching, canopy walk among others. Adventurous visitors may embark on the trip to Assin Mesomagor (Briscoe 2) on the eastern boundary of the park for a stay at the tree platform. Visitors may hike and observe the gigantic baku tree, one of the biggest trees in Ghana at the park. There are also community activities like time with the bamboo orchestra at the local fringe community
